| Welcome
Welcome to Paul Bradley's official violin making
website.
Paul's business is going from strength to strength.
He is now celebrating his tenth year in Galway and his fourth
year in Moycullen.
He will be giving a talk on fiddle making at
Féile Óirghialla in Monaghan Town on Sat and Sun
2nd and 3rd of May at 12 noon at the Market House in the town
centre. There he will have instruments of his own making on
display and he will also be doing some work that the public
can see a little of the process.
His illustrated
lecture on violin-making which he has named
'From the Forest to the Fiddler's
Hands' is in popular demand at festivals and
educational centres from primary to third level (North
West Regional College Derry, University of Limerick, Creggmore
School, County Galway, Falcarragh Traditional Music School,
County Donegal.). He has also been known to
give a rendition of a poem or two and a tune or two (or three
even!), on the fiddle at these!
He of course plays one of his own instruments.
Paul still finds time to offer masterclasses
and workshops
to visiting musicians and groups throughout Ireland and abroad.
Though his fiddle teaching and repair and making schedule in
Galway is busy, he still accepts some students. It is possible
to book individual or group workshops with Paul and he will
help you to arrange accomodation in Galway and to find where
the music is...
He stocks a large range of old instruments and
new ones for sale.
Paul has performed his poetry at many poetry
readings including the Electric
Picnic festival at Stradbally 2008, Celtic
Connections 2008, No Alibis, Belfast, the Marketplace
Theatre Armagh. His poetry was most recently published in the
Cultural Review Fortnight.
